Exhibition graphics come in various shapes and sizes, ranging from foamex mounted panels, to pop-up and roll-up displays. With the SIGMAGraF range of films you can now produce all these systems, using the same film, thus achieving exactly the same finish throughout the stand or the collection. However, when it comes to pop-ups and roll-ups, SIGMAGraF and accessories films stand out from the crowd.
Pop-up systems are becoming ever more popular, though before the advent of the SIGMAGraF pop-up system, this was a laborious and unreliable process. Conventional pop-up constructions consisted of a number of panels (drops). Each drop in turn consisted of a sandwich, made out of a printed image, a stiff backing film and a laminate to protect the image. Since this 'sandwich' was obtained using a variety of different materials, the panels were prone to delamination and damage and their life span was limited to a few weeks.
The SIGMAGraF pop-up system has set new standards for the production of this kind of display. By simply printing the image on SIGMAGraF, our reverse printable and scratch resistant media, and applying this to our proprietary backing film BackStop (available in a variety of gauges), stunning and highly durable panels can now be produced in a fraction of the time.
BackStop films are pressure sensitive, so there is no risk of the moisture evaporation typical of hot mounts, and because they are also made of polyester like SIGMAGraF, the components are highly stable in a variety of extreme environmental conditions.
Roll-up systems are essentially similar in construction to pop-ups, except that the components are rolled up in a tight 'roller blind-like' mechanism. This tension may cause severe stress on the material used and up to now the choice of media available for the production of roll-ups was very limited, with poor results related to the final product. Not any more, SIGMAGraF films can now be used with a specialist BackStop film which is thin and highly durable and can withstand the tensions applied by most of these systems.
Exhibition panels, pop-ups, roll-ups can now be built using just one printable media, no over-lamination and a simple choice of backing films - SIGMAGraF and BackStop, the total solution for exhibition display graphics.
So, with ease of application, clarity of image reproduction (thanks to the reverse printable method), choice of finish (Antiglare or Textured), guaranteed stability and extended life span, the pop-up and roll-up systems are clear winners in exhibition displays.
