Membrane Touch Switch (MTS) Manufacturing - MTS and Fascia Panels in Medical Applications
Medical equipment needs to be completely reliable especially when it is used in intensive care or life saving situations. Often the Control Panel on medical equipment needs to be fully sealed and capable of withstanding high abrasion and aggressive cleaning and chemical agents. The design of this type of equipment takes into account the need for the switches to be highly visible, give positive tactile feedback and where LED's or LCD's are included be clearly visible even in very bright lighting conditions such as in operating theatres.

The Autotex and Autoflex polyester films ranges are highly recommended as the MTS or Fascia Panel substrates for medical applications. The hardcoat on both film ranges offers excellent resistance to high abrasion and chemical and cleaning fluids. The films are available in either a textured finish or a gloss or antiglare finish and are capable of being embossed and withstanding 5 million actuations. For further details please see the product information section on Autotex and Autoflex EB.
